15 ft. Pre-Seeded Planting Strip

High in vitamins A, B2, B6 and C. Dark red, globe-shaped roots have crisp, sweet, tender flesh. A Ferry-Morse introduction that is ideal for home canning and pickling.

Plant in full sun, place seed strip in shallow trench, then lightly cover strip with 1/8 - 1/4 inch of soil. Keep area moist daily until germination in approximately 8 to 10 days. Seed spacing in the strips reduces the need for to thin seedlings. 60 days to harvest after germination.

The small, slender tops make delicious greens. Beets can be grown repeatedly during the season for a bountiful crop.

Strong tops on the 8 inch long mature roots make them easy to pull from the ground. The flesh is firm, crisp and has excellent flavor. Very productive and a fine keeper. High in vitamin A.

Too much water can cause carrots to crack. They should be kept weeded (a clean mulch can do this job). Also, lightly place soil over exposed roots to minimize cracking.

A Burpless variety that should be grown in every garden! Fruits are very smooth and sweet. Skin is not bitter; entire fruit can be eaten without peeling. These heavy yielders should be picked when 3 to 5 inches long.

Plant cucumber strips only after all danger of frost is past and ground is warm. They need lots of sunshine and water. Keep weeds to a minimum with straw or leaf mulch.

An All-America Selection Winner! This loose-leaved lettuce is great for hot weather areas because it is slow to bolt to seed. Crisp, tender leaves have an appealing apple-green color. High in vitamins A and B.

Lettuce needs plenty of moisture. Also, fall crops may have to be started indoors since lettuce has a difficult time germinating in hot weather. Transplant with care.

An All-America Selection Winner! One of the earliest radishes. Its crisp, tender flesh and extremely attractive color make it hgihly desireable for the garden or greenhouse. High in vitamin C.

Plant in full sun, place seed strip in shallow trench, then lightly cover strip with 1/8 - 1/4 inch of soil. Keep area moist daily until germination in approximately 4 to 7 days. Seed spacing in the strips reduces the need for to thin seedlings. 22 days to harvest after germination.

Radishes exhibit best flavor when grown in cool weather and full sun. For mild radishes, keep watered to speed growth.
